Jetix begins localisation of its Bulgarian Channel
Amsterdam, The Netherlands and London, UK - Jetix Europe today announced that it has begun to broadcast a localised channel in Bulgaria.
Jetix, which has been broadcast in Bulgaria since 1998, will be the first localised kids channel in Bulgaria. The channel is now broadcasting in nearly a million households via Bulgaria’s major cable and satellite platforms, such as Bulsatcom, ITV Partner, Cable Tel and Eurocom Cable.
At present 30% of the channel’s output will be in Bulgarian and by early 2008 this will be one 100%. The localisation means that Kids in Bulgaria will now be able to enjoy some of their favorite programmes in their own language, including some of the most popular Jetix series worldwide like Pucca, What’s with Andy, Naruto and W.I.T.C.H.
Maciej Bral, Managing Director CEE and Poland says: “The localisation is great news, not only for the Bulgarian media and advertising market but also for Bulgarian kids and families. The country can now enjoy top quality localised programming with the first fully dedicated kids channel broadcast in Bulgarian.”
