Jetix Consumer Products appoints new licensee for Pucca
Jetix Consumer Products (JCP) appoints PBF International to produce Pucca products for the UK and Italy.
London, UK and Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Jetix Europe’s licensing division, Jetix Consumer Products (JCP), today announced it has appointed Scotland-based company, PBF International, as the Italian and UK licensee for a new range of indoor and outdoor footwear for lifestyle property Pucca.
PBF International is a recognised leader in the branded footwear industry. As a new Pucca licensee, they will be concentrating on developing and producing a range of stylish footwear, trainers, rain boots, slippers and flip-flops for the UK and Italian markets. The first products will be available in early 2009.
Pucca originated as the cheeky, eponymous star of an animated online e-card service created by Korean company, VOOZ Co., Ltd in 2000. It quickly became a licensing and TV hit. JCP has held licensing rights for Pucca for Europe and the Middle East since 2003 and has already secured over 80 licensees. The second series, commissioned by Jetix Europe, is currently rolling out across Europe on Jetix channels.
Richard Woolf, Director of International Licensing, JCP, says: “We are really happy to have secured PBF international as the latest licensee for Pucca. They have been working with many high-profile brands and we believe their expertise will help to develop another successful product range for this funky lifestyle brand.”
Lee Mackie, Brand Manager, PBF International, says: “PBF International are delighted to welcome PUCCA to our current portfolio of iconic brands. We have a passion for high quality, design-led footwear and surround ourselves with people who are passionate about our brands. We believe that with PUCCA's unique and quirky personality we will maximise the potential of this already well-loved character.”
