Jetix Europe unveils new co-production action-comedy Yin Yang Yo!

• Original Jetix co-production between Jetix Europe and Walt Disney Television Animation

• Features 26 x half-hour animated episodes to debut on Jetix Platforms worldwide beginning in Autumn 2006

• From Producers of the hit Fairly Odd Parents

Amsterdam, The Netherlands and London, UK – Jetix Europe today announced the Autumn launch of new animated action-comedy series Yin Yang Yo!, its fourth co-production with The Walt Disney Company as part of the Jetix global programming alliance. From the producers of Fairly Odd Parents, the series features twin rabbits Yin and Yang, who live in a strange and mysterious world filled with magic, monsters, mythical creatures, an evil wizard cockroach named Carl and a grumpy old panda named Master Yo.

As an original production for Jetix platforms worldwide, Yin Yang Yo! will join Jetix TV schedules across Europe and the Middle East, as well as Latin America, and the U.S., from September 2006.

Jetix Europe holds all Pay TV rights for Europe and the Middle East, as well as TV distribution rights, home video and consumer product rights. TV distribution of Yin Yang Yo! is serviced by Buena Vista International Television and will launch with 26 half-hour episodes at Mipcom in October 2006.

JCP (Jetix Consumer Products, the licensing division of Jetix Europe) is managing the home video, licensing and merchandising rights licensing rights to Yin Yang Yo! and will focus on maximising the potential of the property by licensing all product categories.

Geared towards kids 6-11, the series is produced utilizing Flash animation software and features siblings Yin and Yang who couldn’t be more different except for one common bond – they must both become ‘Woo Foo’ Knights, defeat Carl The Evil Cockroach Wizard, and save the world from plunging into eternal darkness. The rabbit twins also have to finish their homework, do their chores and eat their vegetables! Yin and Yang are taught the ‘Woo Fay Ways’ (and some algebra!) by a wise but grumpy old panda named Master Yo. ‘Woo Foo’ Knights are guardians of peace and justice who possess martial arts skills, mind and thought control and the ability to move objects telepathically. They can even run up the sides of buildings and perform 360° moves in the air!
