Jetix CEE Scoops Gold in Promax Awards

London, UK and Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Jetix Europe today announced that its Central Eastern European (CEE) channel team won Gold in the Best On-Air Branding category in this year’s UK Promax Awards.

The channel’s idents for its Jetix Max strand, which airs across the CEE region including key markets such as Poland, Romania, Russia, Hungary and Turkey, scooped top honours over major British broadcasters at the UK Promax Awards ceremony held in London on 1st November. This is the first time that Jetix’ CEE channels have won a Promax award.

Produced by Light, one of London’s leading motion design and direction studios, the idents bring the Jetix Max zone to life by showing kids in everyday situations and making them appear to perform superhero-like feats. The idents have proved incredibly popular with kids across the CEE region since they began airing on Jetix in early September 2008.

Maciej Bral, Managing Director for Jetix in Central Eastern Europe and the Middle East, says: “It’s a fantastic and well-deserved commendation for our programming team and Light to take top honours at Promax over major broadcasters like the BBC and Channel 4. Kate Morton, our Director of Programming & On-Air, and Simon Dean, Creative Manager for Jetix CEE, have been creating incredible on-air campaigns for some time now and I’m delighted that they have received this recognition for their work.”
